The old glass eye nearly popped out of its socket during my post-prandial constitutional just now. Not only has ten years of tundra disappeared from the Pleasurama site in preparation for the fun fair which is going to be placed there after the powerboat weekend, but two years' worth of weeds and detritus has also been cleared from behind the Heras fencing.
Hurray for Thanet Council! Eh? No, that can't be right surely?

They wouldn't be expecting loads of visitors by any chance?
Removing anything flammable and taking sand for extra fire buckets.
Re-building the railway station? They'd be well within their rights if the relevant railways act hasn't been repealed.
Just (Friday 5.30pm) drove up past the obelisk to have a nosy, and there are - wait for it - amusements and rides and stuff inside the Pleasurama site. Just like one of those funfair things they used to have in olden times...
I saw the bulldozer in there, I for one can't wait to have a go.
