Moon Shot

I know, I know. I'm meant to be having a break. But I couldn't resist this. There's an amazing view from the balcony of my cliff top mansion tonight. The moon glinting on the sea is quite beautiful. I took this photo just now, hope you like it.

What with that, all the showbiz deaths announced today, and the gin, I'm... I'm welling up.

Great picture ECR. I'm currently indexing the Atlas of the Universe (one of my day jobs) which has lots of similar moon piccies, so it's very well-timed! I'll see if I can sneak in an entry for Moon, from Ramsgate, picture taken leaning out of ECR's window...

Thanks Zumi. Perhaps you could tell me what some of those craters are called? One of them's the Mare Celeste, isn't it?

I have to admit to having cheated slightly and used a very long lens. If I could work out the technology, I suppose I could start my own Flippr site!

I took a photo last night but alas my 10xzoom is not that powerful.... Also the moon was very bright.

Great photo by the way.

Flickr is very good by the way and if you are taking a lot of photos it's a great way to share them and back them up.
