Vic Reeves' Big Afternoon Out

The ECR spy network reports my old comedy chum Vic Reeves was in the excellent Hurricane and Spitfire Museum over at Manston this afternoon. Vic was apparently there with his missus and kids, enjoying a cup of tea and a ham salad sandwich. How nice to know that us celebs can enjoy a hassle-free, modestly priced day out in the bosom of our nearest and dearest, here on the Ile de Thanet, without being tormented by the paps or having our intimate details splashed all over the tabloids!

That said, a female showbiz chum once told me that Vic... no, no, I'll stop there. I can't be doing with all the resignations, hand wringing and public inquiries!

We wouldn't even know you if we saw you. What happened to you revealing yourself....not in the Hampsted Heath meaning I might add!

His wife is quite attractive but his kids are absolutely minging. Surely you could have found a more complimentary picture than that!

Yawn.

Presumably the great man has had his mobility restored to him after that well earned 32 month driving ban.

It is so pleasing to hear of the great and the good, visiting Thanet and Manston in particular despite your campaign to close the airport.

Anyway Hurrah! Gin and Tonics all round.

Tony - he wasn't there to fly to flippin' Barbados, was he? Not that he could fly there from RAFLKRMIA even if he wanted to.

No, he was looking around the excellent museum, and at no point have I ever said that should be closed, heaven forfend!

I have been looking at this all day and cant believe that Lucy Mail doesnt know who the people are in the picture, apart from VR himself, they are Mark Lemar, Bob Mortimer and the lovely Ulrika, I am not sure of Bobs wife would appreciate him being linked romanitally with her!

The logic of your campaign would if it succeeded close the airport.

But not the museum.

Just as soon as they're done with closing Margate ('bout bloody time!), I'm sure they'll have all the time in the World to close the airport!
Can't see that the 'mericans would allow it though, as it's one of the few places in the World that they can land their space shittle in an emergency.

Oh, btw anonymous of 3:41, I can't quite believe it either. I must have had one of those rare moments when I wasn't being entirely serious.

Happens.

The space shuttle is being retired in 2010. And Manston was never an official landing site for it either.
