Bloody Shell! The Anglo-Dutch oil giant has announced it's jacking in its commitment to the proposed London Array offshore fart farm, which was going to be nailed together at our lovely port here in the Millionaires' Playground. That just leaves the Ethel Mermans (Germans) in the shape of E.ON to get on with building the world's biggest offshore wind site, so the future's not so rosy. Or should that be green?
Meanwhile in other suity news, Margate-based Hornby has bought model car maker Corgi to add to its purchase of Airfix last year, another neat fit with its existing Scalextric and Hornby Trains brands. Phew! At this rate they'll be asking me to edit the Pink 'Un!

You can be sure of Shell. Or not, in this case.
and with more holiday companies and airlines going bust this week what furutre for manston? bring on the chinese quick march
I'd rather have the array than an industrial site on manston, even if the maintenance of turbines isn't quite so environmentally friendly than the power source. They look good. Pfizer is already big. Richborough power station is surely a better industrial site for the industries?
I always thought that the Ilse de Thanet industrial site was the council offices at Margate...or is that the Thanet gateway?
Who was the adult student who left university in his final year in order to get work on then experimental wind generator turbines ?
Surely not the man against whom Kent Police refused to accept crime complaints of sabotage consistent with the IRA Garland Plan.
Don't say you were not advised ?
Thanet Police, Thanet MPs and Thanet GMB Union, Thanet SWP and Thanet people have all been asked to help investigate and deal with the issue.
And Thanet did what it always does.
Ever on the touchline never on the pitch knows it all does f-ck all ...
And gets to do f-ck all on the dole.
how much have tdc spent on consultants for this increasingly duff project?
Shell must've got a whiff of the way things work around here. Or don't.
