East Of The Wantsum

Hurrah! At last I think I've struck the perfect political balance with this week's East of the Wantsum (click on the pic to enlarge).

It refers, of course, to last week's pre-election hustings in Boredstares. Apparently Dr Ladybloke acquitted himself admirably, Laura Sandys didn't have a clue about anything, and the Lib Dem turned up 90 minutes late and nobody could remember his name!

The use of the word 'apparently, would tend to indicate that our honorable blogger was not actually there. I was and both main party candidates handled themselves well though the unfortunate UKIP chap did not have a clue and the Lib/Dem turned up late.
Let's try to have a fair campaign in South Thanet and report it, through whatever media, as it is rather than as we want it to be or on the hearsay of some obviously biased source.

Of course I wasn't there! It would have bored my proverbial off!

Actually the pews were so hard that it would have done rather more than just bored them off. My rear end is still in shock from the experience. Mind you the bloke next to me had obviously been before because he brought a large cushion.

Two hours on those pews was rather too much but we all endured it patiently and politely.

Sandys is well-spoken and emphasises a great deal when she speaks using her hands like semaphore flags.

Ladyman is less handy, so to speak but poor old UKIP guy looked terrified at everything he was asked and just kept saying, 'I'm new at this'. Yes, Trevor and it showed.

Lib. Dem. didn't even get his name announced but then he did arrive after 90 minutes but I did discover his name afterwards.

I e-mailed the Lib Dem office to find out who is their candidate.

I received no reply.

After the public meeting you mentioned, no-one seems to know his name. Perhaps he is Mr X and we have to write his name in the box.

Rather a strange election stratagy, maybe with the current poor image of MPs, he is ashamed to admit his aspirations.

Peter Bucklitsch! Lib Dem Cllr for Crowborough Town Council which some Crowborough 'blogs' detest more than some Thanet blogs detest TDC.
