East Of The Wantsum

Here's this week's EotW. For once it's been reproduced with total clarity in today's Isle of Thanet Gazunder, unlike other weeks when it's looked as if it's been printed by an arthritic baboon with cataracts.

And Mike Pearce's column is also worth a gander. The turmoil over the Turnip Centre, and the 'very senior TDC officer' who described Turnip naysayers as 'arseholes', continues!

Well scooped ECR.

Hardly a "scoop" if he got it from a local newspaper.

The point was 11:41 that it was in the small ads of a local paper, but the paper's lazy hacks hadn't bothered to look. Hah!

Actually, if this is true it's a very sad day. So whether I got a scoop or not is irrelevant.

The IP is the jewel in Margate's crown, and Vik and Dev have worked tirelessly and shown great creative culinary skill and imagination over the last few years.

Until this is confirmed, I am, in fact, hoping that I've got it completely wrong.

We had a great meal at the IP lst week and following your column I asked about the administration question.

Adrianne, the manager, said that there were problems which are now resolved and that the IP would continue. She however cannot wait to move from Cliftonville due to fears for her safety.

I suppose the answer is whatch this space.

Great blog
