Teenage Kicks

Kuh! I don't know, it seems anyone can be a celebrity these days. Thanks to something called 'YouTube', even teenage Thanetonians are getting in on the act.

CutieMish, an 18 year old schoolgirl from Ramsgate, has had more than 4,000,000 viewings for her short clips featuring such exciting plot lines as 'CutieMish plays the theme from Tetris badly on an out of tune piano' and 'CutieMish reads out a list of words'.

It's all very innocent in a coquettish kind of way, but I'm sure the minx knows what she's doing. Judging by the comments you can almost hear the sound of Kleenex boxes being ripped open in young boys' bedrooms all across the States. They just love her Ramsgate accent!

Still, with nearly a million hits and over 3,000 comments for her first posting alone, it makes some people's claims to be the most popular Thanet attraction on the internet seem rather lame. And puts the lie to Ramsgate being 'at the edge of teh known world'!

Rich mate, what were you doing watching Mishy at 1 in the morning?

Just goes to show that if you wanna make it you got to make it in the States.

No point being a success in Norf London!

How about boosting your career and moving to Ramsgate, Jeremy? All the best celebs are here!

Wow I didn't even need to input my credit card details for this filth

Not a chance. Too much invested in property up here. The Margate & Ramsgate property bubble will soon burst. Think about it. No decent restaurants, no hotels of any note, no attractions to speak of outside the 3 month "season" (apart from MFC and even the resurgent "Rams" wont last). Turner Centre turned over, Dreamland a shadow of it's former self (enough to break one's heart)

Look,I'm not poking fun at Planet Fanit, I wish to God it was the Cote D'Azur of the North - but it ain't.

Rant over

Ooh I say, steady on Jeremy! I'll have you know Caffe Nero have just opened up in Ramsgate!

And as for Norf London being the centre of the universe, I suppose it might be if you like spending £2m on a four bedroomed house, just so you can spend all day in the car going to the supermarket, with only the constant whine of jet engines above you to break the monotony!

On second thoughts, er, most of that applies to Ramsgate as well.

Well Mishy certainly does it for me. I wonder if all her body parts are labeled? I can do with all the help I can get at my age.

You have a penchant for older women then, eh, young fella?

Yeh, I'm her toy boy.

Interesting title to your blog BTW. Bit slow on the uptake today and only just spotted that.
You weren't, perchance, reviewing my reviewing techniques last night, were you?

Richard Eastcliff said...

No, but read the review and very illuminating it was too. You seem to be repeating yourself a bit, though.

Well it has been a few times of late.
What kind of free service are they offering us here!?
Still, all's well that ends well.
Did the CD thing give the game away?
I wondered whether or not to include it but figured that everyone was so pissed by then that it probably wouldn't matter.
Lets see.

There are benefits to living in Norf London yu know.

For a start there's Brent Cross shoppin' centre - much better than Worstwood Cross. Then there's Hampstead Heath, Kenwood House, and Bloom's.

We've got Ted Heath (well, used to), Kennedy House, and the Smoothie Shack.

BTW - Lucy, I don't think Smurf will remember a thing, even if he tries until he's blue in the face.
