Flight Of Fancy

Still catching up with the local comings and goings after my short break, I see that American tourists are being given a guide to the Ile in order to tempt them to flock here once flights to and from Nowhere, Virginia begin next year.

The spokeswoman for the company arranging the tours is quoted as saying: "Margate has some lovely sunsets, so that might be a lovely romantic destination."

Clearly the poor, deluded woman has never been anywhere east of Cape Cod, let alone Arsongate, so just to put her in the picture, here's a shot of a typical Margate 'lovely sunset'.

A typical slur from ramsgate riff raff, admit it your jealous of our sea front.

Just imagine an evening spent on Marine Terrace perhaps a table on the balcony of the machanincal elephant, the chance to eat and drink in a non macthorley tavern. just try that in ramsgate.

And as for the arsongate stuff what happened to the library over there, that carpet store and the old pleasurama building a few years ago???

Well, Tony my old sausage, I'd expect you to find it difficult to concede that Ramsgate is the Ile's premier location, being a Margatonian and all.

How about we agree to differ and both have a pop at Broadstairs?

My dear RSR, do you actually think I'm the sort of chap who would remove a comment, after all that trouble with Dr Biggles back in May? Really. Silly twunt.
