What's On In Thanet

Not a lot, some of you cynics might cry. But as an exercise in proving them wrong, and in cheering everyone up a bit about the cultural life of our funny little island, I've popped a new section in the sidebar on the right, entitled, rather imaginatively I thought, 'What's On In Thanet'.

So do feel free to drop me a line at richardeastcliff@yahoo.co.uk to publicise your cheese and wine evening, séance, keys-in-the-middle night or whatever it is that passes for fun around here. I can't promise to be all-inclusive. And as ever, I reserve the right to take the proverbial!

nothing happening man

can't we have a thread to moan about the council ?

Its been another quiet day in Lake Wobegone, although interestingly the council here is better than the shit one in Thanet

No Bertie Biggles. No council-bashing stories from anyone. I've even been reduced to reading Village Voice where I noticed Cllr. Ken couldn't spell 'Pfizer'. Fortunately someone pointed it out to him and it's correct now. You'd think a local councillor would be able to spell the name of Thanet's largest employer even if the firm sits in Dover DC's patch.

I absolutely agree with Tropical about crap cover bands. If I have to listen to Hotel Cali-f*cking-fornia again next time I'm having a bevvy I'll tip it over them.

That's the spirit!

Think it's good Morrisons are taking over Somerfields in Margate, and rummoured the adjoing shops. About time something big happened in Margate, as the rest of the retail town has shamefully been left to rot.

Good to see your What's On bit. Hope you get regular contributions. Don't forget Fairport Convention when it comes to 2nd May!
