Laura Pulls It Off

Well, it appears that my election poll got it right to a certain extent. Labour's Dr Ladyman is indeed history, and I'll now be respresented by ever-grinning Tory, and Roger Gale puppet, Laura Sandys.

I was only one out on the number of Lib Dem MPs too. And, er, Gordon Brown is still, technically at least, living in No 10!

Wherever did you unearth this picture of Roger Gale? I know he was a disc jockey of some sort in the past, but I never realised he was such a fan of the Rocky Horror Show. I am rather surprised at him for showing so much cleavage, though; I thought he was an asthmatic.

I demand a recount. Can those tellers from TDC count up to ten.

I can understand the workshy of Thanet voting for the job cuts party but spare a thought for those like big Tony that want to work. You may have justr taken his job away.

Well, the dear Doctor can now go and work for his pet project of Euroferries, I understand they are looking for someone to bang the drum on the great vessel. He has the experience !

Winter Gardens were crawling with Tory toffs from Laura Sandys' family etc. last night. Back to the old Jonathan Aitken days, I fear. Also thought how 'ordinary' the Thanet Tories look alongside the London Sandys mob. Different kettle of fish, Thanet Tories and London lot. Wonder how much we'll see of her down in Ramsgate now?

Hey ho, as one US politician said,'The people have spoken. The bas*ards.'

The boundary changes did for Steve Ladyman with Ezekiel's Cliftonville East ward coming into the constituency and possibly C'ville West having a lower turn-out than other areas.

Since the candidates were restricted to twenty supporters each at the count it is difficult to see how the Winter Garden could have been crawling with Tory toffs. As to the comparison between the London Tories and local activists, well quite a few of the latter are DFLs anyway so again this is the jaundiced cloth cap view. Looks like Thanet is pretty much back to Conservative territory along with the rest of Kent so each your heart out folks. Of course, you may get the chance to go through it all again sooner than you think!

Vote Lib Dem, get Tories. That fat bloke from Margate must be proud of himself.

Let's see how long it takes before she starts trying to wriggle out of her opposition to night flights....when I said I was against them I didn't actually say that I didn't want to see any. I just meant it needed to be capped at a reasonable level, say 500 per night. That doesn't mean I'm on favour of night flights. Oh no no no no no. I'm against them every bit as much as Roger. But we have to think of the business need...blah blah blah blash....

This is rather serious for Thanet. Do you think that David Cameron is going to pump millions into Thanet like labour did ? Labour had a reason to with a marginal seat.

"I fear the Greeks bearing gifts"

Not a lot of luv in the Conservatives policies for Thanet South other then to look after its Conservative Luvvvy friends.

Trouble is that the voters always fall for false promises and whilst on the subject of false,s I cannot wait for the airbrushed press release's from Diktat TDC.

What say you soft as Rock

Rocky, you have to remember 64% of voters did not tick the blue box. That makes them very much a minority group, whose strongest support group is closer to death than the other parties.

The biggest recession, worst pm ever, and the boy wonder still can't get a majority. Dave will end up getting ousted long before his clown Gideon brings us back to 15% interest rates.

One chink of sunlight on the horizon - this means Tory tdc's arse cheeks will be skimming the pavement next year in the council elections. Local labour should start bringing in some fresh blood soon to replace the dead wood currently wearing red rosettes.

How long before we get the first change of policy from the new S. Thanet MP?

Foxhunting? 'Think of the jobs dependent on the local Hunt.'

Help little old ladies with their problems? 'Oh, we have the Big Society now so little old ladies need to rely on the voluntary sector.'

Housing problems? 'Private landlords.'

Hospital waiting lists? 'I recommend BUPA myself.'

China Gateway? 'Jobs, my dear.'

'Newington Estate? Is that Lord Something's country pile?'

Problems? 'E-mail my PA. She'll deal with your worries.'

MP's surgeries....Bit like local Tory councillors. Don't have them.

Etc.Etc.

Having seen the love-in between Tory Councillor Chris Wells and Tony Flaig on the latter's blog a couple of days ago - with even a written kiss from Chris Wells - i am just luxuriating in the fantasy of the two big, fat hairy men together. Two big bears. Grrrr...

Flaig and Wells. Facial hair and acres of flesh. Mmmm. Actually, that name almost makes them an estate agency.
