Hello, Hello, I'm Back Again

On second thoughts that may not be the most propitious of headlines.

My thanks to Sister Assumpta for keeping the big chair warm and, er, unsettlingly moist for the past week. I can thoroughly recommend Georgia for a break. The people are amazingly hospitable and the grub and glug are as cheap as chips. Although as the aforementioned grub and glug consists primarily of aubergine and fruity red wine, I practically propelled myself unaided the 2000 miles back to Heathrow.

Anyway, thanks to the prevailing wind I see I'm back just in time for the Wantsum Jazz Festival at our super-duperised, out-of-this-world East Cliff bandstand!

Welcome back Richard! It'll be interesting to see what it's like over at the bandstand today & tomorrow!

But will I be able to park when I come home from my Sunday Surgery today? That's the big question!

It's not good round the Eascliff at the best of times!

Just remember not to dent my Toyota Priapus if you find yourself having to squeeze in!

Oh I promise not to do that! Can't guarantee the wife will though!

Do you do mother-in-law jokes too?!

Welcome back Richard, Doc we used to have parking spaces facing the cliff all the way up the Marina Esplanade incline, the borough engineers were concerned the stresses of several heavy vehicles breaking going down hill would collapse the Victorian arches underneath, so made it traffic one way up only, so we all benefited.

Not really. I don't like to be unkind about my mother in law, she can do that herself!

I mean I'm not saying she's ugly but last week we took her out for a picnic in the woods...... and she found Truffles!

Daktari's Mother In Law

I always wanted my daughter to marry a doctor. Once she was out from under my feet I could get on with dying streaks in my hair and writing my Gazette column.

Gave up on concert at bandstand as kept waiting so long between acts I got cold!! I din't see the point in just sitting out there in the cold evening air just to listen to records when i could do that in the warm at home. If Gruppo X ever did get round to performing I hope those who stayed enjoyed it but I went and bought a Chinese takeaway on the way home instead!
