Boeing, Boeing, Gong!

Well, I've posted my entry for Thanet Council's competition to find photos and videos of the Ile as part of their 'Thanet Is Beautiful' campaign. It's bound to win me that long-overdue BAFTA (Biggles Award For Thanet Arts) I richly deserve! Enjoy!

Love the part where the plane flies over the flag pole, very artistic.

Well it's not the best piece of camera work I've seen from Mr Ceaucescu (no relation), but it does the trick.

He was in the middle of masticating in the bathroom when the lump flew over, and had to drop to his tool and rush outside pronto, resulting in a spot of over-exposure.

Oh dear, I seem to have come over all Graham Norton.

Brilliant - just what we need for the ERA meeting!

ERA? Had a friend of mine (who lives in Ramsgate) invite me along to one of their meetings about a year ago. Seemed a strange thing to do, but not entirely out of character for her.
As I recall, there was a lot of bickering about the fact that all anyone seemed to do was bicker.
Bunch of bickheads, I thought.
I'd agree that the video would be useful, if only to drown a bit of the waffle out!

love the film - pity about the end bit?! i doubt that planes come every 9 mins????!!!

you're obviously a talented person, why don't you do something positive for the area rather than slag it off....

Anon 8:12pm - Well I used to say it was every 10 minutes, but our Flying Councillor Dr Simon Moores corrected me. It is, according to him, every 9 minutes for these Oasis training flights, and he should know.

Anon 8:16pm - Yes, I am rather talented, aren't I? And I don't see how I could be doing anything more negative for the area than a 400 tonne slab of aluminium roaring over it every 9 minutes.

Should do wonders in attracting all the "failed the pilots test first time" visitors.

While you are photographing the litter, you might think about picking up a couple of bits, and don't give me that "I pay my council tax" or"I didn't drop it " mularky.
I pay my council tax and I don't drop it either but I pick it up quite often as I would rather DO something about stuff than MOAN about it relentlessly.
If it offend thine eye......
