I'm indebted to my regular correspondent Mr Dickens of Broadstairs for suggesting the headline for this item. Yes indeed, dear reader, I have drunk Canada dry and have now staggered back onto Thanetian soil!
I must say, I was expecting to see bunting and the massed bands of the 1st Thanetian Sea Scouts. But it appears my return has gone unremarked and uncelebrated. However, I've turned comments back on so you can send your messages of goodwill and congratulations. Along, no doubt, with the occasional 'prick', 'c*nt' and 'paedo'!

Welcome back Richard I will reinstate you on http://thanetblogs.blogspot.com/ so we can keep up with the comment
Thanks Michael.
Off for a snooze now... flamin' jet lag!
I've put you back up to. Hope you had a profitable trip
Welcome back, hopefully the best blog around will soon be up & running again, with some witty tales.

Never took you off, old chap. Such is the reach of ECR and technological mastery, you were bound to keep The Isle's Premier Blog running from our distant former Dominions! Welcome back.
There has a been a gap sir, and i don't mean Dumpton!
ECR I never put you on in the first place so I will change that .Glad you managed to get back through customs with all the duty free. Sorry about the brass band and bunting the band wouldn't come untill we paid them for the celebrations we had when you left and some bugger pinched the bunting and sold it on ebay
I never took you off my main site just the cranky one I use to collect comments from the main Thanet blogs, as it’s a bit complicated and the fewer sites on it the faster it loads.
In celebration I shall probably not post today, instead bath in the shadow of your greatness.
should that have been bathe

BATHE Tony.
So you've finished your production and you're gonna sit on your arse now for another 12 months, bloody great. Got any jobs? p/s Can I borrow your film stuff? I have a production of my own I wish to schedule, Volume 3, series 14...
Oh you were suffering Canada !
We though it was Candida.
(Cyclohexanone in yer Gadds ... elevates yer progesterone ... yer candida turns fungal ... another case of Thanet Thrush Doctor)
Welcome back
Tony I think it's the sea or the tub for that one
Well done you obviously get up certain councillors noses that you are photocopied for the hearing on monday - think it maynot have been the relevant part though - have difficulty rotating and looking at adobe in my dotage! Keep up the good work 1
