A Winter Gardens Tale

So, Margate's Mike and Bernie Winter Gardens are to get a Grade II listing from English Heritage. Hurrah! Here are a couple of piccies of some other Grade II listed buildings in Thanet that I took recently:

Hmm.... Westcliffe Hall? Or is that already listed, which would account for it's problems...

West Cliff Hall is doing very well crumbling away on its own, without the need for any help from the heritage department!

But we could add the Grade II listed house in Hawley Square that burnt down recently.

Hawley sq house - of which no defense against rain and weather has been put up - therefore it will rot over the winter and have to be demolished due to the effects of water - ice etc.

Still no information either - regarding arson? - investigations? - the plannaing/listing consent refusal and subsequents works etc???

Mmmm

Did Martell Press in Northdown Road have a fire ? If so when was it ? And should it be added to the list of Thanet suspicious fires.
