Cycling Squad

Reader Clive has sent in this photograph of a couple of our fearless local law enforcers getting on their bikes to patrol Ramsgate's wild east.

I've heard of drugs being pedalled in those grimy back streets, now the rozzers are responding by pedalling two-wheelers. A swift bicycle clip around the ears should put any miscreants back on the straight and narrow! Just give them a bell, and they'll put any picksprockets they catch in a chain gang, or behind handlebars!

Oh dear, I think I'm having one of my turns.

They've got a number of people in the frame.

Give the poor lads a brake.

Are they pumping a witness for information?

It's better than being saddled with paperwork!

Perhaps they're on the trail of a mad cycle path.

If so, let's hope they're not two tyred to catch him!

They're at the hub of an ongoing investigation.

Nothing to do with the rozzers yet but check out the licensing proposals from TDC this month....pole dancing at Belgian bar eh? Interesting....

I tried to sneak a peak at the licensing application notice in the window but it had faded so much it was illegible. So that's what it said - fascinating! Is there any online source where we can view the application?

Had a look on the TDC site but can't find what I'm looking for. You can find the recent licencing applications info in our underfunded local libraries!

Libraries? Ours burnt down, and the one in Margate's being turned into a one stop benefits shop, I believe.

WPc Diana Boloc (Kent's first transexual officer) was tested for suitability as a cycle officer.

Unfortunately hormone treatments had left her with a diminished aerobic capacity and she was rejected for cycle duties.

The WPc was happy with the rejection and commented "I would only leave the support group if someone held a shotgun to my head"

There are those at Fort Hill who can decode this.

Raleigh round lads ... all to do with pedalling anabolics ?
