Blimey, you turn on the telly and all you see is Ramsgate's East Cliff!
Channel 4 aired the first in the new series of its popular property programme Relocation Relocation this evening, featuring some London types who wanted a house in Kent, and a pied à terre in town. After looking at wanner be hotspots such as Whitstable and Boredstares, they settled on a cliff top mansion right here on the East Cliff.
Hang on. London types. Pied à terre. Cliff top mansion. East Cliff... er, I think the game may be up. I'm off to Oz!

Really good programme, great to see someone choosing Ramsgate over Whitstable or Broadstairs. But... no it couldn't be you - he didn't have a monocle!
The monocle is a disguise, dear Weed. No, well, of course it wasn't me. I would have been ashamed to have been seen on national television buying a house for a paltry £635,000.
Are you sure about that ECR? It was called East Cliff House!
I think that I have discovered your identity. You are The Banker on Deal or No Deal. I'm sure that you have previousy mentioned your dislike for Noel Edmunds. It all seem to fit now.
It's not the first time someone's called me a banker.
Preposterous! Someone with some redeeming feature, talent or achievement purchasing a property at the edge of teh known world? Impossible!
And last year they featured Shaun, a smooth headed whispering dilettante whose faltering career as an artist/tie designer/ jewelery creator was revitalised by a move to...err... Margate. Anyone seen him lately?
I remember him - chose a place in the Old Town. Maybe he's found it too quiet and relocated to the thriving metropolis that is Birchington.
Shaun is still in margate-doing really well with his art jewellery and ties.he loves the sandy beachs, stunning sunsets and says it is the best move he has ever made.
Glad to hear it.I am sure Richard wont mind me using his organ to say that no offence was intended in my description. I suppose it is comforting to know that these shows do feature real people. So welcome Tasmin and Paul.
As beautiful as it is I wonder how they'll feel about their house when the pleasurama site redevelopment rears its head over the cliff top!
Yes - the glare from the tin roof will probably be enough to set fire to their clematis!
