Down Under To Margate

Smouldering bush fires! Bev, my agent, must have a kangaroo loose in the top paddock, as they say in these parts. She's only gone and booked me a gig in Margate. Margate, Tasmania that is.

I don't know, you travel 12,000 miles to the other side of the world, only to find you're in a seaside town called Margate, on an island off an even bigger island. Not only that, but they seem to have as many fires here as they do in the other Margate.

Oh well, at least the tucker's good. I'm beginning to develop quite a roof over my toolshed!

Perhaps you should pop into KwaZulu Natal on your way back - assuming you are coming. It boasts both a Margate and a surprisingly similar sounding Ramsgate. http://www.places.co.za/html/kwazulu_natal_cities.html

Seen any bush fires in your Margate down under yet?

I always think it's a good idea to have a decent roof over your tool shed. Especially if it's sunny out.

Plenty of bush fires here in Oz, incuding one threatening their ski resort in NSW, but not around these parts thankfully.

I'm beginning to wonder whether to extend my tour to the other Margates and Ramsgates around the world, Anonymouse. I could do South Africa, and Florida. Anyone know of any more?

Any more suggestions for other Margates or Ramsgates around the globe? Does anyone know of another Broadstairs?
