Ash Thursday

After losing all our billions in their dodgy banks, those pesky Icelanders have now closed our airspace with their grotty volcano! The above was the picture a few moments ago on Flightradar24.com - click on the pic to go to the site and see for yourself.

Still, at least it meant my beauty sleep wasn't disturbed this morning by some old crate flying dodgy yams into Chas 'n' Dave Margate International. I need all the rest I can get these days, what with the night job an' all!

is this the reason why Manston struggles to attract any flights?
What with the constant clouds of Ash hanging over thanet after its nightly earner-burner ritual, clearing historic buildings so developers can build the latest round of bedsits? It must play havoc with the re-conditioned engines attached to the rust-buckets we see.

I dont believe it. I think that the UK is on terrorist attack alert!

I'm not seeing any clouds of volcanic ash out there. Something else is up, methinks.

The ban on flights has now been extended until 7am tomorrow. But what's the betting Manston tries to sneak in a cargo of coke-filled yams anyway?!!

So long as I get my share of said filled yams, I ain't complaining.

Could be worse, the ash polutes our atmosphere, we breath it all in, get addicted and the price goes up and Iceland clears all its debts.

Is that a sun-dry debt Peter?
