By now those architect Johnnies must have come up with some pretty spectacular ideas for our 17m squid, I opined as I piloted my gleaming machine effortlessly towards the Arsonists' Playground.
At first, though, it was difficult to spot the, er, impressive model of our new flagship gallery within the cavernous expanse of the venue...
But then - there she blows!
Mind you, they haven't just been filing their nails all this time. Here's another...

A magnificent addition to the Margate seafront, I'm sure you'll agree. Now all it needs is some flowers to stick in it.
To be fair, the chap who was showing people around did say that final plans wouldn't be published until June. Of course, it would have been nice to have chatted it through with the design team, but I was told they were all out to lunch.

Thought the whole damn thing was pretty interesting, even got to pontificate with someone from the Anthea Turner organisation, anyhow then got into conversation with one of the architects, all went a bit quiet when I suggested that the new Hepworth Gallery looked a bit like one of those forgotten nuclear bomb shelters, I didn't know it was one of theirs.
Things then deteriorated when talking to an old boy, about flooding knocked the bloody clock off the model of Droit House.

Yes well I wasn't terribly impressed by the foam models as you can probably tell. After all the fannying about there's been with this project, they'd better come up with something pretty special otherwise I predict a riot!
Another slab sided monstrosity.
That'll be one at each end of the sea front.
