One thing is for sure. If you put up your windbreaker, layout you picnic and settle back for a quiete read, it wont be long before somebody sits right in front of you with their music blasting out. The good news is that you wont have to put up with their music for long. A rusty old jumbo will fly over and not only drown them out but everybody else on the beach as well.
The beaches at Westgate--Sur-Mere are indeed more crowded as opposed to the photo of Ramsgate, however there is nothing at all when the tide comes in! At such a time I sit on the promenade reading my gentleman's periodical whilst peering through my 90 degree sideways vision spectacles. No such music blares out here though I did once have my man-servant bring the gramaphone down to the prom and we gave a few of the wax cylinders a good whirl. Anyone done any 'scratching' with wax cylinders....? I wouldn't recommend it.

You seem to be a bit anti-Ramsgate Peter? Why is that dear?
