Has anyone else noticed the similarity between the stolen garden gnome on the front page of today's Isle of Thanet Gazette and the picture of Councillor Mike 'Turncoat' Taylor sporting a Viking helmet on page 9? Are they by any chance related?

It was obviously a slow news day if a stolen gnome made the front page!!
Probably something to do with echognomics.
Turns out the gnome wasn't nicked after all. It was taken from a garden but then put back, but in the wrong garden. Great front page lead Gazzers!
dont fob us off with this lame compare the picture comment.
where is comic strip, we need a good chortle
Not quite as good as that headline they ran about 4 years ago "Teens Poo In Garden"
thats no word of a lie. I wish to god I'd saved it. That had me cracking up up for quite some time.
I also seem to remember a story about a lawnmower thief being on the front page too. My DFL friends think the news here is sweet and charming compared to therapes and murders they have to read about.
obviously 5 grand was not enough to Viking convince me????
Hengis
How about "Birchington gets cash machine"?
Saw it about 10 years ago.
Not the Gazette but did anyone see the Sun's headline about Peter Andre being bitched about on Twitter by his ex, Jordan.
'The Twitter Batter of Tiny Pete'.
Priceless.
