Euroferries Launch Video

Given the rather on/off, will it/won't it nature of the much-trumpeted fast ferry service between Ramsgate and Boulogne, I thought it might help move things along if I applied my indubitable directing skills to making a promotional film for Euroferries.

In the last 24 hours we've learnt that the vessel Euroferries is chartering from Fred Olsen, the Bonanza Express, has been slated to come to Boulogne, the UK, another port in Tenerife, yet another port in Tenerife, been painted in Euroferries colours, blah blah de-diddly blah.

Any-old-how, given that I'm mildly incapacitated and mostly indolent, I emailed my old factotum Mr Ceaucescu (no relation) a few bits and bobs at the school of plumbing in Turda where he's currently working, and this is what he's come up with. Not sure it's quite the thing, but what do you think?

I do hope that by using the theme to a 60s TV western show you are not implying these people are cowboys!

The Bonaza kid says

Paint on - Paint off - Paint on - Paint off etc....etc

Parece que el Bonanza Express quedará en Tenerife algún tiempo más. Euroferries está barajando otras posibilidades, con un nuevo barco y otro fletador.

Which according to my universal translator means:

It seems that the Express Bonanza will be in Tenerife some time more. Euroferries is shuffling other possibilities, with a new boat and another charterer.

Speaking of Manston dont mock. In KM -
AvMan Engineering is opening for business at Kent International Airport in Manston and expects to have a 40-strong workforce at the site by the end of the year.

Now thats jobs you can do with.

Anonymous said...

Not really. Tesco have created more jobs on the island than the airport has in the last ten years. Anyway, it's just maintenance jobs coming back that went away a year or two ago.

Tescos dont create new jobs, they and simmilar retailers just crush the local competition resulting in job losses elesewhere. No net gain in jobs. How many retail jobs have been lost in Margate High Street?

I don't give a sh1t about Margate high street. The only sensible comparison of Manston jobs with high street jobs would be with Ramsgate high street as that's the only high street airport expansion will affect.

Currently Ramsgate high street is not doing too badly. However the more planes the tw@ts in Margate want to fly over it the worse it will do. More flights = fewer jobs in the shops, restaurants, bars and cafes of Ramsgate, for the sake of one or two fork lift jobs out at Manston.

Sorry Peter, I don't think I made myself clear enough. I meant to have said you are a complete and utter tosser. Although I wouldn't go so far as the previous commenter whose C word I have nixed.

Now do run off and play in your own sandpit, there's a good chap. Any further comments from you will be deleted.
