I'm still on Cayman time, so when dawn cracked at 3.30am, I couldn't get back to sleep. Nothing for it but to take the TT for a spin around the Ile, and check out all the changes that have taken place since I've been away.
Over in Arsongate, one thing in particular was noticeable by its absence. Where's One-Eyed Pete's Big Wheelie Bin? It's vanished. Did anyone ever ride on it?
I suspect that it was, after all, self-propelled, and like some manic, Dad's Army style secret weapon, has shaken itself from its moorings and taken off out to sea for a new life in Southend.

Are you sure you didn't make the same mistake as me the other week? After knocking my alarm clock upside down, I awoke thinking it was 3-30 when it was actually 9-00.
Anyhow, regarding the Big Wheelie, they did state from the outset that it would be here all summer except for one week in June when it was booked elsewhere.
Refreshing to see the Gazunder getting it bang-on for a change.
It's going up North for some Fair or somthing. It will be back, and I suspect it will have planning permission by then.
What a suprise.
It appears the Big Wheel may well not be coming back after it's trip up north as was originally planned.

So, there'll be no chorus of 'Wheel meet again', then.
Perhaps a display of 'away with the ferris', maybe.
