Jolly well done, and all that, to the team behind the bid to win a slice of lottery money to tart up our lovely, but slightly shabby, Ellington Park here in the Millionaires' Playground.
They've reached the play-off next Tuesday on ITV Meridian East (What's that? - Ed.), and stand to win a whopping £50K if they beat the DFLs from Hernia Bay, who are also bidding to tart up a spot of greenery.
If you want to find out more about their plans, there's an open meeting at Churchill's this afternoon, 4pm kick off. And if you want to vote for them on Tuesday, you can get more info by clicking here.
On Monday it's the turn of Boredstares to bid. They're asking for fifty grand to build a shed, and are up against some poor bastards in Seahaven who need food.
Pip pip!

This is the one I'll be voting for, as I have such fond memories of Ellington Park from the time I spent there in the 70's with Jack Hargreaves.
I remember the vikings being there in the sixties.
Phoenix Fair?
I think they had a heat of miss Great Britain on the bandstand at the Phoenix fair.Saw a few nice sights that day.

Fast forward 50 years and today's yoof will be reminiscing of their first smoke or a crack pipe
What ever happened to the mini railway track?
It's still there JH, but you'd know that if you lived here
Had my first handful of sprats in ellington park!
8:07, why are you talking to JH when he is fast asleep in Arizona. Carer forget to give you your tablets again?
I won my first goldfish at Phoenix fair It was in a plastic bag.
We pay the corrupt council and do it ourselves. Anyone added up the EKO waste and fraud £10M? But these bids are for a fraction of that
Prestwick sold to Scottish government today for a quid. So much for Gloag. It'll be a quiet night in Manston tonight. Police sirens in the distance?
Late night I see, Tim. Eat your heart out for Manston flights are on the increase.
How could we have got it so wrong 8:28am? Of course Manston is going for growth, expanding etc etc etc.
But it's not is it. You claiming it is just shows you're an idiot or stuck in the past or both.
I used to work with Jack Hargreaves at good old Southern TV. An inveterate pipe smoker, he would stuff his briar in his jacket pocket when we were going for a take, and on many occasions we had to stop shooting when smoke started to billow from beneath the desk because he'd forgotten to put it out first. My how we laughed.
Does Manston still have the dumped jumbo jets up there? Infratil going to remove them?
"Does Manston still have the dumped jumbo jets up there? Infratil going to remove them?"
Not local? You could go look?
One being chopped as we speak, leaving just two (of which only one is a 'jumbo'..
Manston-Amsterdam had 4,343 passengers in Oct 2013 according to CAA stats, so averages 35 pax per flight .. that ok Tim?
That's fine by me 1:26. I'm all over that now.
