Schadenfraude

Lorks! I see my old Fannit Council chum and former Tory Chief Duffer Sandy Beach has been charged with fraud and misconduct in a public office! Who'd have thought!??!?!??

Senior Crown Prosecutor Ken Goss told the Isle of Thanet Gazunder: 'I have today advised Kent Police to charge two men in relation to fraud and misconduct in a public office. It is alleged one of the men improperly used privileged Thanet District Council information in relation to the purchase of two properties.'

Brarn envelopes and wall-to-wall carpets all round!

10 Blue bottles seating on bench and if one blue bottle should.....

Well, what excitement for all the bloggy trollers. Out come all the witty one liners and Peter has something else to add to his kitten story. We even have ten bluebottles rather than the lone one who used to pop up around the Thanet blogs.

In all the excitement to kick another Tory, has anyone considered the cost to the taxpayer, both income and council, of the councillors who have not done a proper job of work in years, down to sundry bad backs, but who live comfortably on a combination of councillors allowances and benefits.

What is the potential cost to the tax payer if we have had a bent council leader for years? There have been some very strange council decisions in recent times, all kept out of the public domain in the name of commercial confidentiallity. I just hope that the cabinet did not sell off Thanet's assets to line the pockets of a cabinet member.

Tom, are you actually defending what the crooked ol' c*nt has done?

Anonymous said...

No, Peter, not defending anything and, as yet, we do not know what he has actually done or, indeed, whether he will be found guilty so not much to discuss, or even should be, for now.

Simply making the observation that there is more than one way of ripping off the public purse, or at least milking it for all one can get.

The difference between councillors on the illegal take and councillors living on council allowances and benefits is that the latter are entitled to both. Tom if you know otherwise then it is you civic duty to blow the whistle on them by telephoning 0800 854 440. Otherwise you should stop your inuendo.

According to you Tom we shouldn't talk about these things even after they're found guilty either, as it's "kicking a man when he's down". I wonder if Sandy's wife will f*ck off with someone else too?

Anyway, video here!

Peter, fraid you're out of touch. The proverbial wifely runner has already happened. Do keep up.

Anon 1:15 - There is a very narrow line between entitled, in the true moral sense, and working the system. From my insurance investigator days I encountered many people claiming under income replacement policies who have difficult to dispute ailments. "My back is killing me, doctor" only it doesn't and they live on for years pushing up everybody elses premiums in the process. Not criminal, unless you can catch them working or mountaineering, but questionable.

Bit like the sick MOD civilian driver who drives wedding cars whilst on sick pay. Like I said, it is all over the place if you care to look for it.

I trust that due to the nature of this charge, the local party has suspended him until this matter is resolved one way or another.

Fat chance 3:45!

Anon 1:34, far from Dr. M being very quiet today, he was one of the first blogs to post this news and has posted two items in the last 24 hours. Guess you made your comment without even bothering to check.

I was referring to the lack of comments published. Even you're on here more than on there now.

In the old days, a politician charged with an offence would resign to focus on clearing his name. I guess that was a long time ago.

Anonymous said...

I dont see how he can take part in any council business until this has been resolved.

Thanet history has a lot of these Tory 'takers'.
I don't understand why all this fuss is being made about something that was so blatantly obvious to a blind eye.
