Rumours that there's been a fire, possibly arson, at the controversial Lilybrook development in Pegwell. More later.

Further update (6 March): Police have now said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding this fire.

A troubled development where the locals have put up a fight against the developer then one of the houses on the developer's land burns down leaving a ghastly hideous eyesore unless the development goes ahead. Fishy? Nooooooo!

surely that cant be Thanet people here encompass change dont they Look they never moan about anything airports roads shopping centres art galleries, even the local council never get moaned at in Thanet "the least moany place in England"

If he wants every bit of Thanet's heritage demolished and concreted over, that's his prerogative.
Richard I dont want every bit demolished but I am getting fed up with everyone complaining all the time. If nothing ever changed we would all be living in the dark ages or waiting for the invention of the wheel. People seem to make moaning into an art form perhaps they are rehearsing for a place in the TC.
What a wonderful idea Don - a sound installation at the new Turner Centre of Thanet people all moaning about the Turner Centre - why didn't i think of that?
You could make moaning into an art form by removing all the punctuation from it and letting people guess what the hell youre on about some things are better misunderstood i think
